Candidates to New World

All over planet Earth, people are emotionally secured by their sense of identity as a result of their citizenship, their cultural context, their social class, their community, their tribe, their team, or their family. Most humans desire to belong to or be a member of something greater than themselves. Most of us are born to groups; a nation, a religion, a patriarchy, a matriarchy. Some of us want more than the groups to which we are born. We set out to find or create or own. We seek our tribe or to build our tribe. The era of social media, does it enhance capacity for #meaningful #belonging, and #connections?

Today, I ask you to take on the task of creating a new world choosing 7 persons in addition to yourself to journey to a new planet to give birth to a new civilization, a new world community. The Earth is dying and can no longer support life. 7 people are chosen to begin again. Choose 7 others of the personality profiles listed below to build a new world. Who will you choose and why will you choose who you choose? I look forward to your choices.

1.     27 year old Asian professional golfer

2.    8 year old protestant male child

3.  35 year old white woman who is depressed with a history of hospitalization for emotional problems

4.     27 year old black farmer who has had a vasectomy

5.     40 year old rabbi

6.     35 year old prostitute with herpes

7.     A human appearing AI

8.     10 year old female who is moderately retarded from not getting enough oxygen at birth

9.     25 year old Native American Medical student whose father was killed at Wounded Knee

10.     25 year old biracial bisexual female who weighs 300 lbs

11.     19 year old Catholic male who has cerebral palsy

12.      45 year old nurse

13.     32 year old black female who is a multimillionaire from winning a national lottery

14.    57 year old scientist

 As you ponder your choices, how would your choices, be affected if you were working with a group to make the choice selection and you had to argue for point of view for your choices before the vote.
